I am a painter and art director living in Portland, Oregon. I believe art enriches living spaces through an aesthetic drawn from the natural and digital worlds. At home and in the office, I am inspired by the colors and shapes that surround us— the architecture, outdoors, travel, food and wine— as well as emerging trends in digital advertising and design.
I am inspired by the landscape and architecture in my everyday life. I deduct, simplify, and abstract their shapes. My canvases begin with emotional, wild brush strokes before refining and controlling the imagery over time to create a more geometric final work.
